NAR’s new series, Level Up: The Real Story from REALTORS®, premieres with an episode on fair housing with Bryan Greene, NAR VP of Policy Advocacy, hosting a discussion with Alexia Smokler, NAR Director of Fair Housing Policy and Programs; Sher Powers, 2023 President of the Tennessee REALTORS® Association; and Jennifer Stevenson, 2022 Fair Housing Policy Committee Chair.
In Level Up, “Fair Housing” (part 1 of 2), the group engages in a candid conversation about the history of fair housing and what can be done to overcome barriers that still exist today, over 50 years after the Fair Housing Act of 1968 was signed. The group also discusses some of the policy advocacy measures NAR is spearheading, including alternative credit scoring methods, fairness in appraisals, and down payment assistance programs.
