Influencers show indelible contributions to an industry, including in community outreach, client impact, and more. Two leaders at the National Association of REALTORS® have shown their ability to lead the real estate industry through change. On its list of 2021 Women of Influence, HousingWire has named NAR General Counsel Katie Johnson and Jessica Lautz, NAR’s vice president of demographics and behavioral insights, among 100 influential women in housing leadership.

The honorees are “shattering glass ceilings and leaving a legacy for years to come,” HousingWire noted in its announcement. “This year’s honorees are all women who are cultivating a new path forward for the housing industry and who are reimagining a better, more collaborative future,” said Brena Nath, a managing editor at HousingWire. Its annual Women of Influence list is now in its 11th year; honorees are chosen by HousingWire’s selection committee.

“It’s exciting to see HousingWire recognize so many women leaders who are helping the housing industry navigate all the challenges and opportunities that have been presented in recent years,” said Johnson, who is also NAR’s chief member experience officer. “I’m honored to be listed amongst this group of strategic, creative, and empathetic thought leaders.”

Lautz echoed that sentiment: “In my role, I find the growing share of women entrepreneurs and the increasingly powerful part played by single women home buyers inspirational. Moving forward, I will continue to amplify the voices and experiences of these dynamic women and encourage fellow colleagues in the real estate industry.”

Last year, HousingWire named NAR senior executives Victoria Gillespie and Shannon McGahn to its 2020 Women of Influence list.
