There is nothing that gives me more energy then being in our nation's capital with more than 8,000 of the most dedicated real estate professionals that I know across the country. From the the moment I stepped off the plane at Reagan International to the Hill visits and everything in between. I loved being welcomed to town by our latest ad campaign of "That's Who We R" and I am so proud of the work that we do in D.C., and back at home in our local communities, and that we have the opportunity to tell our story to our elected officials.
We are protecting and promoting the American Dream of homeownership and that matters A LOT! REALTORS® are consistently on the front lines, advocating for homeowners and private property rights, and helping to build sustainable communities at every level. We make a huge impact.
This year's NAR 360 was the best I have ever attended and one that will forever resonate in my soul. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC), the 2019 leadership team commissioned artist Phil Hansen who by handwrote all 10,000 Major Investors' names, creating a beautiful picture of my favorite building in D.C.—the REALTOR® Building. His story was etched on my heart as he spoke to us about the power of "embracing the shake." Transformation begins in the mind and that is something I focus on in my own life with a passion. His message was very well received.
On Wednesday, I had the honor of speaking with my U.S. Representative from Portland, Ore., Earl Blumenauer, at his office during our congressional visits. Earl is a long time friend of the REALTORS® and was one of six visits that we attended this week.
