Jordan Collier, 26, moved around a lot when she was a child. She was so intrigued by what the real estate agents were doing at each sale that she would shoot video tours of her own home for pretend buyers. Fast-forward more than a decade: Her enduring real estate fascination led to an administrative job at a brokerage, a connection with a mentor at the company, and, eventually, in 2015, earning a license. Her first deal was a FSBO conversion, done with a family friend. Collier was hooked. Social media has been a key to her success, she says. Just as in her childhood, video is her medium of choice. People, especially millennials, seem to gravitate to the “Day in the Life of a REALTOR®” videos that she posts on Facebook, and she has found a niche working with first-time buyers.
