Fans for a Lifetime
As a child, Jonathan Fayard told his friends that he wanted to sell houses. He snatched up every real estate listing publication he could find at grocery stores and restaurants and kept a keen eye on price drops. Today, he strives to price properties correctly, and targets other millennials, including his teacher friends. “I’ve helped so many people I grew up with,” he says. And some may have provided him a boost. Fayard, 29, won the Web Choice competition in March, in which the public voted for their favorite finalist. One memorable client was not a millennial. The 93-year-old seller had moved to an assisted living property but stayed involved with the sale of his home. He even tagged along with Fayard to get extra keys made and treated him to lunch after the closing. “He used to sell real estate, and it was neat to hear his stories,” Fayard says. “I hope I can live as full a life as he has.”
