Building contacts is huge for Dan Nelson, 26. Besides making connections with clients, he’s focused on establishing ties with professionals in finance, media, manufacturing, and other industries throughout the Minneapolis area. As a founder of MVRS (short for movers and shakers) in 2018, Nelson organizes quarterly gatherings for driven, successful people who want to focus on building health, wealth, love, and impact. “The intent is to create a community of people in the Twin Cities as a resource that [group members] can contact any time of day,” says Nelson. The meetings draw about 100 people and can lead to new clients and improve the quality of existing business relationships. “When I’m in a real estate conversation with somebody and drop names of people at their company, from a rapport standpoint, that’s amazing.”
