What does real estate have in common with a production of the Mozart opera “Cosi Fan Tutte”? For Alexander Goering, 27, the answer is “more than you might expect.” A vocal-performance and musical theater student in college, Goering says his
theater and choral background laid a foundation that has prepared him for success in his current career. “In both realms, you have to hustle constantly,” says Goering, who recently participated in the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® Leadership Academy. Not only that, he says, but the prospect of rejection by potential real estate clients feels trivial compared with the rigors of theatrical auditions. While he’s building his leadership skills in real estate, Goering remains active in theater, leading a children’s theater company and performing in the Kansas City Lyric Opera production of Cosi in March.
