Faron W. King (ABR, AHWD, C2EX, CRB, SFR®, SRS) is NAR’s 2024 Regional Vice President for Region 5 (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands) and broker-owner of Coldwell Banker High Country Realty with five regional offices in Georgia and North Carolina. He has been a licensed real estate pro for 24 years.
At the national level, Faron has served as an NAR Director and 2023 Broker Engagement Council Chair. He also served on the RPAC Trustees Fundraising Committee, Risk Management Committee, and Broker Involvement Council. He was Federal Political Coordinator to Rep. Andrew Clyde (GA-9th).
From 2020-2021, he served on the Real Estate Business Institute’s Board of Directors.
At the state level, Faron served as Georgia REALTORS®’ 100th President in 2020, and was Vice Chair of the association’s 100th-anniversary Task Force. Additionally, he served as Vice President of Professional Development, Governmental Affairs, and Administration and Finance in 2015, 2016, and 2017, respectively. He was named Georgia REALTOR of the Year in 2013.
At the Northeast Georgia Board of REALTORS®, he served as 2011 President and was named 2010 and 2012 NEGBOR REALTOR® of the Year.
In addition to REALTOR® association governance, Faron served as 2001 Chair for the Towns County (Ga.) Chamber of Commerce, and in 1999, at 32 years old, became the youngest president of the Georgia Association of Assessing Officials at the time.
Among his other accomplishments: Faron is a seven-time marathoner with a personal best time of 3 minutes and 27 seconds; he served as president for the Licklog Players Community Theater Group in 2005; and was commissioned as a Kentucky colonel by Gov. Steve Beshear in 2008. But his most cherished accomplishment has been marrying his lovely wife Rebecca in 1999.
