All FPCs, both new and veteran, are required to attend the FPC Training during the 2025 Advocacy Week event, January 22-25, 2025 to fulfill the obligations of their Pledge to serve.

New Federal Political Coordinators

The Advocacy Week jumpstarts the FPC Advocacy Academy for the 119th Congress, a training program that will turn REALTORS® freshly appointed as FPCs into savvy grassroots political advocates for NAR. The program will train participants to master the methods behind creating and fostering long-term relationships with elected officials.

Over the course of the program’s seven sessions (a mix of webinars* and in-person training), participants will significantly improve their comfortability in meeting with members of Congress and advocating on behalf of the REALTOR® Party.

*Bookmark this page for forthcoming information related to the virtual training sessions mentioned above.

Training during Advocacy Week will include the nuts and bolts of being an FPC, how to build your FPC team, a legislative and economic outlook with NAR staff and an overview of the most important NAR resources to achieving success in the role.

Veteran Federal Political Coordinators

Advocacy Week will also provide a deep dive into continued education for our best and brightest, the veteran FPCs. During Advocacy Week, we will provide behind the scenes intel from those most close to the political happenings in Washington, D.C. Veteran FPCs will engage in interactive training, hear from serious keynote speakers, learn new strategies and tactics for communicating with their legislators, focus on how legislators become REALTOR® champions, and share success stories with colleagues on regularly hitting the mark in the FPC role.
