Mediation is NAR's preferred method of dispute resolution. All local REALTOR® associations must, as a benefit of membership, offer the ability to mediate otherwise-arbitrable disputes. In some REALTOR® associations, mediation is required prior to an arbitration hearing.

Training & Events
NAR offers Mediation Training annually in Chicago. Since 2000, NAR has offered an exceptional 2½ day program covering NAR’s mediation model. This program includes one full day of personalized coaching from some of the country’s foremost mediation experts.
