The National Association of REALTORS® awarded the 2019 Platinum Global Achievement Program Award to the Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS®’s (MORe) Global Committee and Council at the Annual Conference & Expo in San Francisco, CA. The Association staff and volunteer leaders demonstrated high levels of achievement in the five evaluated categories: Business Plan, Marketing & Communication, Events/Education, Outreach, and Benchmarking.

In addition to excelling in the above categories, the MORe Global Committee and Council worked with the NAR Research teams to do additional surveys on both their global and commercial membership categories in order to more fully understand their needs. This strategic decision resulted in an eye-opening discovery for MORe – there was a lot more interest in outbound real estate for investment, retirement, or second homes than previously thought or incorporated in their global strategy. That information has shaped their new strategic vision for their global group going forward and will shape many decisions from education to trade missions, moving forward. Proving that global is an ever-evolving sector of the real estate market with multiple facets.

In 2019, NAR recognized the depth and breadth of the efforts of the MORe Global group with an additional award. MORe was the recipient of the 2019 NAR Global Outreach Effort Award. This award is presented to an association that goes above and beyond when working with both of our global partners and helping to create more global opportunities for their membership. The Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® embodies these characteristics and then some. On every occasion they go out of their way to provide an enriching experience for all involved. Most importantly, they take on these endeavors with the understanding that the benefit is not Mainstreet’s alone, but the entire 1.4-million-member REALTOR base. Not only did they host delegations from Ireland and Denmark at MORe’s offices, but they also hosted 2 outbound trade missions to Ireland and Serbia. It doesn’t stop there, as they’ve done in the past, this year at the REALTORS® Conference & Expo, they assisted in a Property Bus Tour in San Francisco with the San Francisco Association of REALTORS® which consisted of delegates from over 30 countries and provided the opportunity for 177 members and international members to build relationships and future business opportunities.

In 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015, MORe Global Real Estate Committee and Council received the Platinum Achievement Award. Prior to that, they held Gold in 2014 and Silver in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
