Multigen Connections
Kaciana Champlin comes from a real estate family. In some cases, she’s selling houses to people whose mother bought from her mother or whose grandparents bought from her grandmother. But until she got into the industry, she didn’t fully understand what being an agent meant. “I could tell my mother was well loved and well respected, but I had no idea what went into the job,” says Champlin, 25. “It baffles me that she was able to come home and cook dinner every night and come to every sporting event with the amount of work she does.” Seven years into her career, Champlin can’t imagine doing anything else. Though she was an introvert growing up, Champlin’s discovered a love for connecting with people, hearing their stories, and helping them navigate transactions. “You get closer to a client in six weeks than a lot of people do with most of their friends,” she says.
