What Are AEC Representatives?

Statement of Purpose

The AEC serves as a resource for REALTOR® associations by:

  1. Ensuring that there is knowledge and understanding of issues and concerns between the REALTOR® association community and NAR committees and leadership;
  2. Providing a framework that ensures staff and volunteer leaders have the professional development and management resources they need to provide optimal services to their members.

2024 AEC Goals:

The AEC's areas of focus for 2024 include:

  1. Conduct a comprehensive review of the current Core Standards program and determine whether revisions are necessary and/or if there are other options for ensuring that associations continue to meet basic standards for serving our members.  
  2. Identify various governance models that local and state associations can consider to best guide volunteer and staff leadership teams as they work together to advance their organization’s mission and goals.
  3. Consider REALTOR® association education program options that can be developed to offer continuous learning opportunities and create leadership communities for local and state chief staff executives.
